About the Artist

Clay is Abby’s conduit to the expression of nature through form. The forest’s trees, sea creatures, kelp, water, moss, earth and sky are embedded in the glazes she uses. Abby is driven by her desire to throw on the wheel, pulling and pressing the clay to become something both beautiful and functional, drawing inspiration from the process. “I love knowing that my pottery will be used in a home and held in someone’s hands.”

Abby holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota. Her ceramic artworks have been featured at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts, the Soo Visual Arts Center in Minneapolis, The Grand Hand Gallery in St. Paul, as well as in Atlanta at the High Museum of Art, Made Again, and The Swan Coach House Gallery. Her two dimensional work has been exhibited at the Weisman Art Museum and at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Abby also has artworks in the permanent collection of Minneapolis Institute of Art. Abby has been represented by Kolman & Reeb Gallery since 2021.
